Aline Maia is an experienced psychotherapist with more than 17 years of clinical experience.

Aline is a former university professor, has an M.Ed in Counselling Psychology at University Ottawa and is a member in good standing of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) with Independent Practice status.

At Maia Centre, you can either work directly with Aline or with a therapist that is working under her supervision.

Aline takes very seriously the task of preparing a new generation of psychotherapists. She personally selects each therapist that joins her practice and meets with them weekly to ensure you are getting the highest possible quality of care.

    Also, most insurances do not require a physician’s referral to cover mental health services.

  • Aline currently has a couple of spots for working directly with her and additional spots for psychotherapist supervised by her.

  • Fees vary depending on your specific practitioner.

    For sessions directly with Aline Maia, fees are $170 per session (taxes included).

    Alternatively, you can work with psychotherapist supervised by Aline Maia, who offer lower fees, depending on their level of experience.

    Also, note that, if you are located in Ontario and have private insurance, you might have some level of coverage for psychotherapy.

  • We usually accept credit card and e-transfer. Please discuss with your practitioner the specific method of payment that works best for you.

  • Counselling and Psychotherapy are covered by most private health insurance plans.

    If you live in Ontario and have private health insurance that covers counselling, psychotherapy or services provided by/under the supervision of a psychologist, it is likely that your insurance will provide you with coverage.

    However, coverage amount and eligibility requirements vary significantly between plans, so it is best to speak to your provider prior to your first visit.

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to avoid paying late cancellation fee for a scheduled session.
